About

The WAZA ALLIANCE FOR QUALITY EDUCATION is a 501c(3) public charity, not-for-profit, non-governmental, non-sectarian organization. The organization is based in Indianapolis, Indiana, USA. It was established in 2007 by a group of interested individuals, including Faustin Ntala, a professional educator who is a native of the Democratic Republic of Congo.

Visualize yourself living on an annual income of $360. Would you send your child to school if it cost $25 a month? This is the question millions of parents in the Democratic Republic of Congo face. As a result of extreme poverty in the DRC, only one out of three adult individuals can read. A lack of quality education in the DRC is the underlying issue Waza exists to address!
